Honey Scrumpy

The Catlins railway line opened in 1879 and for the next 100 years carried logs and people to the busy towns of Balclutha and Dunedin. Apple cores tossed from the trains by those early passengers has left behind a fine selection of heritage trees lining the tracks. These apples have thick skins packed with tannins which give our cider its deep flavour. Pure Catlins honey is added in secondary fermentation providing balance and character in this fine example of dry scrumpy cider.
